Welcome! I’m Mercia, a contemporary mixed-media artist creating expressive portraits and highly textured abstract paintings. My work lives in the space between realistic sketch work and vibrant, chaotic color.

When you look at my portraits, you will immediately notice a signature detail: the luminous, golden-amber eyes that pull you into the subject's world. I love building physical depth on canvas, using everything from metallic gold leaf patterns and sharp geometric lines to flowing root fractals and heavy vertical drips. For me, art is about balancing structural sketch realism with free-flowing, textured abstract energy.
